About this deal

Media Centre Description: Children’s animation in which Andy Pandy and his friends Looby Loo and Teddy have endless fun in their candy-coloured world. When Andy Pandy finds that Bilbo's old sea-chest is full of sand, he has a seaside holiday on his very own beach. When Teddy gets impatient waiting for his avocado plant to grow, Andy Pandy helps him to make some paper trees.

When Teddy breaks Looby Loo's daisy chain, Andy Pandy shows him how to make colourful beads for a replacement necklace. Looby brings some warm sweet drinks for Andy and Teddy in the morning, because it’s colder than it was, and finds them gone. Andy Pandy and Teddy help Looby Loo with the spring cleaning, but Teddy ruins a portrait of Looby Loo. Teddy is making a nuisance of himself with two wooden spoons, so Andy Pandy shows him how to make them into wooden puppets. When Bilbo finds a box of bolts, Andy Pandy has the novel idea of using them to make a musical wind chime. When Teddy is scared by a beetle, Andy Pandy helps him get over his fear by making beetle masks with him. Singers: Gladys Whitred, Julia Williams [voiced the 'Little Weed'] and Maria Bird (in the 1970 colour series). This amount includes seller specified domestic postage charges as well as applicable international postage, dispatch, and other fees. Each episode ended with a variation on the song: "Time to go home / Time to go home / Andy is waving goodbye.

Orbie is sad because, being a ball, he can't join in with his friends' games, until Andy pandy makes him some ninepins to knock over. My kids (nearly 4 and 2) love it and ask for this more than Teletubbies or Bob the Builder, sing along with the songs and love the characters.

Please note these four episodes are taken from early BBC TV colour footage and the colour may vary between episodes - please do not adjust your set! Let's go inside Andy's house and join him in his favourite nursery rhymes and games with Teddy and Looby Loo. Though the emphasis of the original series was on music and movement, the emphasis of the 2002 series was on making and doing.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. In 2002, BBC produced a revival of 52 episodes with the use of stop-motion animation instead of string puppets: the original nursery and garden were expanded to an entire village, with Andy, Teddy and Looby Loo now owning individual houses, as well as four new characters that were introduced in the series: Missy Hissy (and Missy Hissy’s brother, another snake who is never seen); Tiffo, a teal-and-purple dog; Bilbo (vocals performed by David Holt), a sailor; and Orbie (vocals performed by Maria Darling), a yellow-and-blue ball. citation needed] Initially it was broadcast live, but it was realised that if the programmes were filmed, they could be repeated. Teddy gets a present of a pair of roller skates, so he challenges Andy Pandy and Looby Loo to a race. Andy Pandy makes a puppet from an old sock, and tries to convince Missy Hissy that she has a new friend. There's singing to the animals, hide and seek in the garden, fun with a mystery box and an exciting new toy for Andy to show off. Puppeteers: Audrey Atterbury, [5] Molly Gibson, [3] Martin Grainger, The Stavordales and Christopher Leith (in the 1970 colour series). When Bilbo tells Andy Pandy and his friends about the outdoor markets he has visited, they decide to set up a market of their own. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).
