I love the photos for each recipe and being over 40 I also don’t mind the huge text as I don’t need reading glasses for it. I’m a responsible good home cook, but I’m finding this book produces a lot of unhealthy pasta heavy dishes. I have made multiple meals from this incredibly easy-to-follow recipe book and even the meat-eaters are impressed! But the book isn�t only for meat eaters looking for a better way to live�Moskowitz wants to get vegans to start cooking more so that they can worry less about what they can and cannot eat.

It took me 3 minuted to boil up the fettuccine (if you follow me on Instagram you may have caught some of my adventures in home made pasta) and in that time I’d blended the sauce to a perfect consistency. I've seen a lot of complaints about the ingredient lists being difficult to see in the print version. It’s probably not the roast I’d make for Christmas Dinner, I prefer to go high stakes on the holidays but it is perfect for Sunday dinner. It’s American cooking at its worst (and please don’t get me wrong I’ve lived in New York and eaten at some brilliant places). There have been one or two recipes that I did not like — but because the vast majority are so tasty and easy to make, I say it deserves a full five star rating.It pains me to leave such a low review, but it is 100% due to the graphic design/editing of this layout.

I kept yearning to hear more respect out of this author’s language, but I suppose we each have our own ceremonies and rituals when it comes to preparing the bounty of food.Not looking to become vegan myself, but I love reading through vegan recipes and cookbooks for new ideas on how to eat the veggies I've come to love but sometimes get bored with. But the book isn’t only for meat eaters looking for a better way to live: Isa wants to get vegans to start cooking more so that they can worry less about what they can and cannot eat. My struggle is having a mix of meat-eaters, vegans and vegetarians in the family and the non-vegans have always shuddered when I’m cooking vegan. Maybe it's the Eric Carle style illustrations that drew me in, but I stayed for the accessible style and the wonderful food.
