About this deal

We'll send them to be recycled and you'll save paper, carbon emissions and time at the recycling centre!

They contain great and good (and sometimes not so good) whisky from folks who are interested in my opinion, or who are merely keen to spread the love around. We reserve the right to immediately and without prior notice deactivate, suspend and/or terminate your account if you do not abide by the Terms, if you act unlawful, if you do not act or use the Service in good faith, or if you cause any harm whatsoever to the Service, to other Members, to other persons or to us. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder of the Terms shall continue in full force and effect.Being able to produce expressions that are reliably decent to good (and sometimes great, as was the case with the 2022 release of the 12 Year Cask Strength) is something of which any distillery should be proud. Bunnahabhain also features older vintage releases, highlighting the exceptional quality of aged whiskies from its warehouses. V. is the Dutch private limited liability company, having its statutory seat in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and its office at Zwaanshals 530, 3035 KS Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The palate had an intriguingly slow build, but nonetheless managed to achieve… if not completeness, then at least a convincing cohesion, in the middle of the mouth.

Starting with the younger members of the trio: Bunnahabhain began releasing the 12 year old cask strength in 2020; it is currently on its third iteration. These now sit amongst a broadening core range, but at the heart of that, we look at the middle child here.In the mouth: Surprisingly quite different from the nose, this starts with the meaty nuttiness of cashews in the front of the mouth. The Bunnahabhain Toiteach A Dhà has a touch of smoke in our peated malted barley whisky, introduced during its creation and combined with a higher sherry influence, this special bottling offers the connoisseur an opportunity to try something truly unique and beguiling in nature. The General Wine Company sources wines from all over the world, but with a particular focus on small, independent producers. The Islay Distillery Company initially owned Bunnahabhain, but the Highland Distilleries Company took over in 1887. The Christmas combo of nutmeg, cinnamon and clove linger with the sodden oak and a little orange flavour seems to poke through at the end .

To be eligible for a full refund you must contact us to inform us of any issue within 24 hours of receipt. In 2021, Master Distiller, Stephanie Macleod, handpicked Cote Rotie red wine casks from the Rhône Valley. After some time in the glass, the fruit turns from orange to darker sherry aromas and the beautiful acidity of the juicy orange takes on a little salty character. The nose is nutty and yields sweet sherry, Jaffa orange, old leather, instant black coffee, and a suggestion of ozone. Bunnahabhain’s 18 Year Old is one of their most awarded Single Malts and once you’ve tasted it you’ll understand the wealth of gold medals it has achieved.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Man merkt die Ausgeglichenheit und die Milde des Whiskys, welche durch die 18 Jahre Lagerung entstanden sind. There’s a residual aftertaste of dried autumn leaves (not that I’m in the habit of eating them, but you get what I mean) as a sole marker of what is otherwise an undistinguished finish. Ebenso mögen die 46,3% Alkoholvolumen für manche Anfänger brennend wirken, wenn man zuvor nur Whisky mit 40% oder allenfalls 43% kannte.
