About this deal

The 100 Proof Bottled in Bond is an ode to the Bond Act from 1800 The Act certified the quality of any whiskey carrying an official designation on the bottle. Jack Daniel’s Bonded is a Bottled-in-Bond whiskey, which must be distilled by a single distiller during a single distillation season, matured in a government bonded warehouse for at least four years, and bottled at 100 proof. To earn this distinction, a whiskey had to be distilled at a single distillery during a single distilling season, aged at least four years and be bottled at 100 proof. The heat builds nicely here and provides an extra kick of spice to help balance any of the sweetness of the palate.

These latter scents are married to aromas of cigar box, pencil shavings, and old leather in a manner reminiscent of some of the older and lower-proof Wild Turkey offerings. Fermented using their own house yeast, and aged in their own barrels, coopered in house to their specifications.Since I marveled at the ubiquity of the brand, I’ve noticed Jack getting both plaudits from high-profile whiskey tastemakers as well as grassroots support from Jane and John Bourbonfan.

The brand Jack Daniel's has been created with the conviction that quality will be a guarantee of success. It is produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee, by the Jack Daniel Distillery, which has been owned by the Brown-Forman Corporation since 1956. Although it is only sold at select locations, this bottle was advertised as a “permanent line extension in the Jack Daniel’s Family of Brands. This bonded rye meets the the classic bottled-in-bond qualifications: at least 4-years old, 50% ABV, a single producer during a single distilling season, and be aged in a federal bonded warehouse. It’s exceptional and unparalleled flavour is down to the traditional methods used in its distillation and filtration through super maple charcoal helps ensure the smooth, mellow flavour is both rounded and enticing. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Jack Daniel's Bottle in Bond diffuse at first incredibly sweet flavors of light caramel, wheat and hay notes, scattered with bitter tangarin.

It delivers a big, bold Tennessee Whiskey with layered notes of caramel, rich oak and spice giving way to a pleasantly lingering finish. These cookies help provide information on metrics the number of visitors, bounce rate, traffic source, etc. Both bottles are Bottled-In-Bond and both feature the embossing replica design of the 1895 Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey bottle. In the middle of the mouth, the cherry notes have a resurgence, albeit in a less ripe, more tart form.
