Also, I made a left hand because I'm left-handed, but you could just switch a couple pieces around to put the thumb on the other side. The palm is just solid and flat, unlike a real hand, but I don't think that detracts from the articulation at all, because of the range of movement in the fingers and thumb. The pictures really don't do it justice; the articulation is pretty impressive and fun to mess with in person, and I think this model would be a great, eye-catching addition to anyone's desktop.

I find that the design and articulation of human prosthesis very interesting, and would be very beautiful in LEGO form.Visit our Minifigure Weapons section for a great range of firearms, shields, and weapons to ensure your minifigure is never caught off guard!

This model acts as a tool to help understand the structural makeup of the palm and achieves this in very few pieces. They also allow us to test different behaviours and functionalities and measure and evaluate their suitability. I used dark red and light gray styling, largely because that's the color I had for the finger joints and then I decided to keep going with it for the rest of the model. It is used to hold weapons (such as the Part x1740), objects and tools (such as a cup) or LEGO bricks. Special hands, such as pirate hooks in several different colours and boxing gloves have also been made. This is one of the things I love about the LEGO community - just look at the amount of time and energy being expended in considering this obscure topic ! Only when you bend your wrist down (so that your forearm makes a straight line, more or less, with your thumb) does the bottom part become larger. They have been made with a variety of colours and have come with every minifigure from 1978 until 1989, and are still in usage from 1989 to the present time. Some things require the hand to be sideways, generally in this case I have the flat side on the inside and curved side on the outside of the minifig.I've always been confused as to what the "correct" orientation of a minifigure's hands is, particularly when holding utensils. I've just given it a try with a minifig holding a goblet, and there's definitely a difference in how "active" the goblet is. The project has taken me about three months to develop and to perfect, and about 85% of the pieces were retrieved from the 42077 Rally Car set. It seems that having the large side up when they are holding a tool means that tool is 'active', but when the hands are upside down the tool becomes 'passive'.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The color of the plates really doesn't matter, and I think it would look better in a metallic silver. By purchasing this item you agree to release us from any liability regarding the improper use of this product. BUT, the default for me is with the flat side up, so if the fig is emptyhanded the hand is flat side up. Experiment by adding different materials to the Robot Hand for a better and safer grip that also causes less damage.
