About this deal

If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. In addition, there are plans to sell iPad and MacBook case handmade from material representative of the Nishijin-ori used to make Japanese kimonos.

However, it was easy to get used to the small spacebar - I’m “right thumbed” and it pretty much sits there with no problems. However Android Tablet may not all be compatible with this product due to a different specification environment developed by each manufacturer or a certain factor caused by a host device.

So, firstly, the last problem: it was because I had also paired it with my laptop which was on and nearby. However, since it was no longer my daily driver, I decided to try a couple of mods out on it to see if I could get a more muted sound from the board. I had an issue with my Mac not recognising the left and right CmdOpt keys, but switching it to PC layout in Settings fixed that. Both shift keys are 1u (on the ISO board) - and especially on the right this causes me many problems a day. Yes, their cases are plastic (“thicc” plastic), yes they only use Cherry switches, yes they use Costar stabs, yes most of their key caps are thin ABS… But in the grand scheme of things, and depending on who you are, none of those things really matter.

left ctrl key, 2 function keys, and small 3u space bar, all make this a tough keyboard to customize.

Great pre-sales service as well - I asked a couple of questions, and got a very thorough reply (with pictures! i mean in the past whoever use Filco knows how mediocre their keycaps are and have to change their caps anyways. They've gone from having just about the crappiest keycaps on a high-end (for the mass market) mechanical keyboard to possibly some of the best. As the pictures show, this keyboard looks rather unassuming but let me tell you, this thing is to keyboards what sleepers are to cars. Were it not for the unexpected bulk of the case, I think I'd be satisfied with the Minila Air thanks to its obvious excellence in most other respects.

With the Minila, I was able to take the board apart - first the frame - this is tough to do, almost as if they never thought anyone should do this. It’s a 68 Key compact 60% layout keyboard, but to get that many keys, including arrow keys, Filco had to make the layout a little strange.Substances banned under RoHS are lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (CrVI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), and four different phthalates.

Mac layouts are fully supported on this keyboard with the designated switch to adjust Mac configuration. The Minila-R comes with a layout than can be adjusted to different presets with the DIP switches at the back of the keyboard. It takes a teeny tiny bit of time to get used to, due to the compact design, but when you have gotten used to it, it has a very nice feel to it, and it is awesome. The Majestouch MINILA is the Mini layout version of Majestouch and we've made it as compact as possible by sharing Function keys with other keys.initially I was not at all sure about it - it seemed too noisy and I kept hitting the wrong keys and the lack of function keys was annoying, although there was never any question on its build quality which is excellent. Filco’s latest in wireless portable keyboards, the Filco Majestouch Minila-R (Matte Black) is the new flagship and benchmark for excellence in wireless pre-built mechanical keyboards. The Fn thumb keys are still hardwired and cannot be remapped to spacebars (with DIP switches) like on the Minila Air. We focused on the least frequently used digits, the thumbs, and let them work with the Function keys.
